Sharlynn WalkerSharlyn Walker

Contract Administrator

Sharlyn Walker joined Dix Corporation in 2008. Sharlyn started in the construction industry in 1983 as co-owner of a plumbing company when living in California. With a strong desire to expand and stay diversified it wasn’t long before the Fire Protection and General Contracting services were added to their specialties. To further her career in construction, in 1993 Sharlyn decided to venture into large government contracting work, such as highway projects, water treatment plants and has since joining Dix Corporation taken on USACE Marine Projects, Crane Rehabilitations and Heavy Industrial Projects.

Sharlyn’s primary focus is to ‘Keep the Field Crews Moving Forward’ by complying with the project specification’s and requirements. A lot of pre-planning with the Project Managers and Superintendents is necessary to build strong ground work and client relations. With this aspect in mind it allows Sharlyn to participate in months of planning, meetings and building something from ‘a visual’ to a completed project.  A lot of satisfaction comes from standing on top of a Dam feeling the power it produces, knowing you took part in refurbishing or constructing it.

When not involved in a construction project’s at Dix Sharlyn enjoys writing the Dix Newsletter for the company.

In 1974-76 Sharlyn received her degree in Business Administration from Victor Valley Community College.
