Kevin DixKevin Dix

Principal/Business Development Manager

Kevin has been in the construction industry since 2001 and became a Principal of Dix Corporation in 2012.

He has a broad range of construction experience, including commercial, residential and industrial. His focus is on marketing, sales, estimating and general management.

Kevin has a B.S. in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration from Washington State University. He has also gone through the Associated General Contractor’s Leadership, Project Management and Advanced Management courses.

Kevin was born and raised in Spokane and has spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoys traveling, music, sports, working in his yard and spending time with family.

Mike DixMike Dix

Principal/Operations Manager

Mike grew up in family owned construction company. He has studied and worked in construction industry since 1996 and has been Principal since 2012 and Operations Manager since 2008. Mike's construction specialty is operations and insuring Dix Corporation is performing the work well for the customer. His favorite aspect of the business is working with good people in various conditions from the office to the field.  Each day is different with new challenges.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Washington State University. He completed Associated General Contractors' (AGC) Project Manager Course, Leadership in Construction, and Advanced Management Program. He is also certified by the US Army Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management for Contractors

Mike is a big sports fan enjoying both watching and participating.  He loves to spend time with his family. He has four boys and likes to camp, hunt, ski, golf etc.... he especially enjoys time outdoors.

Pat DixPat Dix

Executive Management Board

Pat has been in the construction industry since 1966, when he joined Dix Corporation. From 1975 until 2013, he served in the position of President.

General management has been Pat’s focus and he will continue as an advisor to management through his position on the Executive Management Board.

Pat's favorite aspect of the business is being part of the interesting projects Dix Corporation does, such as the world-famous Floating Golf Green on Lake Coeur d’Alene, the US Pavilion at the World’s Fair, and top secret US Navy submarine projects.

Pat studied Civil Engineering at Cornell University and Washington State University and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Pat obtained his Professional Engineer’s license in 1971.

Pat enjoys skiing in the winter, golf and biking in the summer, and Cougar football and hunting in the fall. Most of all, he enjoys activities and sports with his family, which includes seven grandchildren.

Dave SchaferDave Schafer

Chief Financial Manager

Dave has been with Dix since 1989. He has 18 years experience in both public and private accounting with most of the experience in construction accounting. Dave manages the day to day accounting and administrative functions as well as the Dix safety program. He is also responsible for corporate banking, cash management, insurance and bonding.

Dave has a B.S. in Professional Accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Dave is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association and Washington Society of CPA's.

Mike FergusonMike Ferguson

Marketing & Sales Manager

Mike has been involved in the construction industry since 1964 as a project manager, company owner and marketing & sales manager. He has spent 16 years with Dix from 1978-1981  and then again starting again in 2000. During those years he has worked as a project manager and currently is the marketing & sales manager.

Mike specialized in managing medium and large industrial projects in the areas of  pulp & paper, manufacturing, mining and food processing.

His favorite part of the business has been working with the customers and their representatives, promoting all types of projects and building long term relationships that span over numerous projects and years.

Mike served a tour of duty with the US Navy and has attended Central Washington University, the University of Washington and has also taken continued education courses over the years.

Mike enjoys the out of doors, spending time with his family and grandchildren. During the summer months he and his wife Cheryl enjoy driving around in their Corvette convertible and attending car shows in and around the Spokane area.

Sharylyn WalkerSharlyn Walker

Sr. Contract Administrator

Sharlyn has worked in the construction industry since 1982 and has been with Dix Corporation since April 2008.

Her primary focus is keeping the field crews moving forward. Construction work for government projects require a lot of prerequisites before site work can even begin. Sharlyn’s proactive attention to detail keeps these complex government projects on-track and on-schedule.

Sharlyn enjoys the mechanics and challenges of construction. The successful completion of these projects are very rewarding to her.

Scott BernhardScott Bernhard

Estimating/Senior Project Management

Scott has been in the construction business since 1983. He has served in a variety of positions for many long standing, respected construction companies. Scott joined Dix Corporation in the fall of 2013. He has succeeded in both a work acquisition and project completion role. Scott enjoys the daily variety and challenges that come with the construction business. He has a Civil Engineering degree with a structural emphasis, an MBA and is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer. Scott’s personal interests include outdoor activities such as snow skiing, sailing, and golfing.

gregGreg Crossman

Project Engineer

Greg began his career in the construction industry when he joined Dix Corporation in the summer of 2014. Previously, he served as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force, working as a developmental engineer.

Greg is primarily focused on managing technical aspects of projects while assisting with and continuing to learn budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and other points of project acquisition and management. He enjoys the complexity of Dix Corporation's work and finding creative solutions to challenging problems.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Portland, a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Penn State, and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He is also a PMI Certified Associate in Project Management and a licensed private pilot.

In his free time, Greg enjoys relaxing at the lake with family, friends, and pets, golfing, and doing home improvement projects.

NateNate Thomas

Chief Estimator

Nate has been involved in the construction industry since 2003. He has served Dix Corporation as Chief Estimator since 2015.

Working out the costs associated with each aspect of construction is Nate’s specialty. He loves solving the challenges of developing comprehensive estimates for complex projects.

Nate holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Washington State University (Go Cougs!).

When not developing and overseeing cost estimates at Dix Corporation, he likes to spend time with his family, playing golf and shooting sporting clays.

jeffJeff Weaver

Project Manager

Jeff has lengthy experience in the construction industry, dating back nearly three decades. He has served Dix Corporation as a Project Manager since 2014.

His focus at work is on project management and estimating. Jeff appreciates finding unique solutions to difficult and challenging construction issues.

An alumni of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Science, a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and is LEED AP certified. He also has certification through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management for Contractors.

Jeff is an avid golfer and fan of Auburn football (Go Tigers!)
