Pat Dix started working for this father's Dix Steel Company while still in high school. He worked weekends and summers in the shop and field. Pat has been leading the company since the late 70's and has successfully guided DIX through recessions, declining and changing markets and strategic choices.
Pat earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and Washington State University. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in the states of Washington and Idaho.
Pat has 35 years of experience managing industrial construction. He has committed personal and company resources to the community by serving on the Executive Board of Boy Scouts of America, Inland Northwest Council; as a loaned Executive for United Way; on the board of Directors of the Washington State University Foundation; and as a coach for Spokane Youth Soccer.

Marcus joined DIX Corporation in 1985. During his time here he has managed dozens of projects including: U.S. Navy, Bayview, ID, Large Scale Vehicle Support Barge (Design Build) and 'Kokanee' launch (@$5mm); Hungry Horse Dam Selective Withdrawal System (@ $6mm); Chief Joseph Dam- Cranes Modernization (@$2mm) and he has also spearheaded the development of an alliance to offer design, manufacturing and installation of complex industrial equipment.
Marcus has 19 years of experience managing crane rehabs around the country, installing fish bypass systems on the Columbia River, performing Heavy Lift and Transportation projects in the USA & abroad, and was the project manager for the world's first and only Floating Golf Green in Coeur d'Alene, ID that was a design build project.
Marcus' education includes a BA in English and Economics from St. Mary's of the Plains College and Construction Quality Management Training with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Armin started with Dix Corporation in 2004. He has fifteen years experience designing and constructing industrial and government projects in the Midwest and Northwest. Armin has managed large, specialty projects including a chemical demilitarization facility for the US Army, an observatory for the National Science Foundation and an underwater piping installation for the Southern Nevada Water Association. Armin has also managed industrial wastewater treatment at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation and communication system facilities for AT&T.
Since joining Dix, Armin has managed projects at Round Butte Dam in Madras, OR, Potlatch in Lewiston, ID, at Saint Gobain Glass Container in Seattle, WA, at Brilliant Dam in British Columbia and at Kaiser Aluminum's Trentwood rolling mill.
Armin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Design Technology from Eastern Washington University and is a Professional Civil Engineer licensed in the State of Washington. Armin is also certified by the US Army Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management for Contractors.

Dave has been with Dix since 1989. He has 18 years experience in both public and private accounting with most of the experience in construction accounting. Dave manages the day to day accounting and administrative functions as well as the Dix safety program. He is also responsible for corporate banking, cash management, insurance and bonding.
Dave has a B.S. in Professional Accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Dave is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association and Washington Society of CPA's.

Mike's first stint with DIX was in the late 70's and early 80's managing steel fabrication and erection and general contracts. He re-joined the Company in 2001 and is spearheading the development of new, private business for DIX.
Mike has 30 years experience in Construction Management and Business Development for contractors, fabricators and engineering firms. His focus has been on mining, pulp and paper, petro-chemical and aluminum plants as well as other industries.

Chris joined Dix Corporation in 2008 as project manager. Chris' contributions at Dix include managing work at McNary Dam, and at the Arizona Dept of Transportation in Maricopa County.
A proven manager and leader of large scale construction operations, Mr. Varela has served at all field and managerial levels within the commercial construction industry. As a Project Manager for Dix Corporation, Mr. Varela brings a strong financial and operational perspective to building and managing significant projects and their construction teams.

Mike Dix, grandson of Dix Corporation founder, Peter Dix Sr., started working for the company in 2004. While growing up, Mike had observed the successes, challenges and growth of the family business, led by his father Pat Dix.
At Washington State University Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. While working at Dix, Mike has completed the AGC's Construction Project Manager Course and the Corps of Engineer's Construction Quality Management for Contractors.
Mike's years of education and work experience have been focused exclusively on the construction industry. Prior to starting with Dix, Mike worked in commercial construction for three years in Portland, Oregon. During Mike's first year with Dix, he managed company projects in the Portland area. In 2005 Mike and his family moved to Spokane and Mike began working at the Dix home office.
Outside of activities in construction, Mike enjoys coaching ski racing and soccer and spending time with his wife and two boys.

Kevin began working for the family business in 2006. He brings over seven years of project management and estimating experience to his position. Kevin’s experience spans a wide range - from 110 unit condominium developments, for a private land holding company in Oregon, to 120,000 SF retail facilities, for a general contractor in the Puget Sound. Kevin has spent time in the field as a laborer and has experience with both small and large projects for public and private customers. Kevin’s success is based on a commitment to teamwork and a sincere interest in helping clients achieve their objectives.
Kevin is a 1999 graduate from Washington State University with a B.S. in Construction Management and minor in Business Administration.
Outside of construction, Kevin is a ski coach for the Multnomah Athletic Club and active member of the Spokane Polo Club. He enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and spending quality time with his wife Sarah.
