Dix was awarded a contract to replace the top 62’ of the Conditioning Tower and replace the Raw Grinding duct during a two-week outage. Dix was awarded a contract to replace the top 62’ of the Conditioning Tower and replace the Raw Grinding duct during a two-week outage.  The dimensions were 17’ diameter on one end by 62’ long and 8’ diameter on the other end.  Dix had this section fabricated in one piece and hauled it to the site using one of their heavy haul trailers on one end and combined it with a special fit wheel connection on the other.  All work was completed on time and within budget.
