Dix was awarded this $7,000,000 contract by the Walla Walla Corps of Engineers for work occuring over three years. Dix work must be closely coordinated with that of General Electric Hydropower, who has a contract to furnish and install new windings in Units 1, 2 and 3. Only one unit will be out of service at a time, so both Dix and GE will perfom their work on that unit within the scheduled outage. Dix work includes cavitation repair at the runner and discharge ring plus mechanical rehabilitation of the runner assembly.
